This is a pretty simple yet effective way to keep those controllers dry.
What you'll need:
- Cable ties
- Small plastic bag or drink bottle with the top cut off and turned upside down
- Thin stake
Place the controller in the bag with the open end facing down.
Take the cable tie and wrap around the outside of the bag and secure to anything suitable, i.e. fence post, ground stake, cable, pvc down pipe etc.
The idea is - because there is an open end, any moisture that forms in the bag won't be trapped can quickly evaporate, yet it is completely protected from rain and irrigation.
